Every Product Spec in One Place

Master Product Specifications organize each product's quality rules, parameters, and limits into one versioned, drill-down structure. PDM is the production area's single reference for what a product is and what it's expected to meet — replacing scattered spreadsheets and out-of-date spec sheets.

Where R&D Specs Meet Sales

The Product Library bridges R&D and Sales. R&D maintains each product's specs in QC; the library surfaces those spec parameters automatically and adds a Classification that tells sales reps exactly how they can act on a product when a customer asks.

Every Product's Full Picture

Pick a product and a layout, and the Info Screen assembles product instructions, spec limits, and library fields into a single configurable view — ready to print, share, or embed directly in the Batch Log desktop app.

Additive Dosing From Your Spec

The built-in Additive Calculator reads your product's MPS additive-parameter formulas, takes a batch size, and instantly returns exact additive quantities — callable from PDM, the Shipping Schedule, or the Loading Log.

What It Does

PDM is the production area's single reference for product specifications — define each product's quality rules, parameter limits, and formula parameters once, in a versioned, auditable record. The Product Library surfaces those R&D-maintained specs to sales reps, and the built-in Additive Calculator turns a spec's formula parameters into exact batch dosing.

One Place for Product Specs

The Master Product Specification organizes a product's quality rules, parameter limits, and formula parameters into one versioned record — the production area's reference for what a product is and what it's expected to meet, instead of scattered spreadsheets and out-of-date spec sheets.

Versioning & Audit Trail

Every specification is versioned with effective-date ranges, and each rule, parameter, and value-list change is captured with before/after detail in the audit log — so the full revision history of any product standard stays reconstructable for compliance.

Product Library

The Product Library bridges R&D and Sales. R&D maintains each product's specs in QC; the library surfaces those parameters automatically — spec values like Mettler Drop Point, PV, and IV pulled straight from the QC Product Test Specs — alongside a Classification (Recommend, Consult, or CAPEX) that tells sales reps how they can act on a product. The Product Information Screen assembles product instructions, spec limits, and library fields into a single printable, role-specific view.

Additive Calculator

For products with additive formula parameters, the calculator takes a batch size and returns required additive quantities computed from the MPS formula — not a spreadsheet. Callable from PDM, the Shipping Schedule, and the Loading Log, it always reads the product's current spec.
