Full Traceability from the First Field

Log a sample in seconds — product, lot, tank, source, and purpose — and the system assigns the full test hierarchy automatically from your Product Test Specification.

The Lab Queue That Runs Itself

Every sample entering the lab joins a live priority queue ranked by age and urgency. Supervisors drag to reprioritize; barcode check-in timestamps every handoff.

Pass or Fail, Decided as You Type

Each measured value is evaluated against specification limits the moment it is entered — passes light up green, failures flag red — before the sample ever reaches an approver.

No Tank Moves Without a Green Light

Every tank's QC status — approved, pending, or expired — is live on production and shipping screens. Any tank without quality clearance is blocked from scheduling.

One Decision. Instant Plant-Wide Effect.

When a QA manager approves a sample, tank QC status updates instantly across production, blending, and shipping. Auto-approval handles routine in-spec results without intervention.

The Certificate Writes Itself

Approved test results populate the Certificate of Analysis automatically from your configured template — no manual transcription — and attach directly to the shipment in SSM.

What It Does

QCM is MFX's combined LIMS and ELN for chemical manufacturing — a quality system that runs inside the plant rather than alongside it. Every lab approval writes directly to the modules that depend on it: production planning, blend scheduling, and shipping all see the tank quality status update in real time, without a follow-up step from anyone.

Automated Test Hierarchy

When a lab technician scans a sample at the receiving window, QCM resolves the applicable Product Test Specification and creates the full test hierarchy — methods, parameters, and acceptance limits — automatically. The barcode scan transitions the sample to Received and triggers test assignment in a single step, with no manual configuration.

Lab Priority Queue

Active samples rank by age and urgency in a drag-to-reorder priority queue visible to every lab supervisor. In the Enter Test Results screen, analysts filter parameters by lab area — Chemistry sees only its parameters, Physical Testing sees only its own — eliminating cross-section navigation in multi-discipline labs.

Spec Enforcement & Auto-Approval

Every measured value is validated against four concentric ranges: instrument detection limits, hard min/max boundaries, a pass/fail specification range, and an auto-approval range. When all results fall within the auto-approval range, the system closes the sample without manual review — routine in-spec batches bypass the approval queue entirely.

CoA Generation Pipeline

On sample approval, QCM resolves the correct CoA template from the product/customer assignment and maps each approved parameter value to its document slot using the field-mapping function. The generated document attaches to the SSM shipment record automatically. Generic and customer-specific generation paths both feed through the same entry point.
