Sales Forecasting Module
A data-collection platform for rolling or fixed forecast submissions, supporting complex organizational hierarchies and volume-based predictions.
What It Does
FORECAST is a volume forecast collection platform structured around the organizational hierarchy without being locked to it. Sales representatives submit at their assigned account level; the system aggregates upward through whatever hierarchy is current, accommodating reorganizations without disrupting historical submissions or requiring a data migration.
Hierarchy Without Lock-in
Forecast submissions are structured around the organizational hierarchy — region, territory, sales rep, account — but the hierarchy is designed to change frequently without disrupting data. Reorganizations update the collection structure for future submissions while leaving past forecasts intact against the hierarchy that governed them.
Role-Scoped Submission Access
Security operates at the Sales-Rep or Account level: each user sees and submits forecasts only for their assigned accounts. Managers see the aggregated roll-up for their territory or region. The access model configures granularly enough to handle shared territories, account transfers, and multi-rep accounts.
Live Pivot Reporting
Forecast data surfaces in a live pivot table — filterable by period, region, product line, and account level — that updates as submissions come in. The same view exports to a functional Excel workbook, giving sales managers a structured snapshot for offline review, presentation, or upload to external planning systems.
Rolling & Fixed Forecast Modes
FORECAST supports both rolling (continuously updated forward outlook) and fixed (point-in-time snapshot) submission models on the same platform, using the same account and product hierarchy — allowing operations to collect a live rolling forecast from sales while simultaneously capturing a locked annual volume commit from management.
